About Luke DuBose, an entrepreneur, consultant, and writer based in Los Angeles.
Who Is Luke DuBose?
I’m Luke DuBose, an entrepreneur, consultant, and writer based in Los Angeles. I help people get clear on what they actually want and build the discipline to go get it. Most of my work sits at the intersection of business and personal growth, because in my experience the two are never really separate. If your habits are a mess, your business will be too.
Right now that shows up in two places: training for Ironman Sacramento 2026 and running my consulting practice. Different worlds, same principle. Show up, do the work, don’t skip the boring parts. I’ve learned more about business from training for a triathlon than I expected, and more about discipline from consulting than I ever did in a gym.
Professional Journey
I started my career in financial services, working in precious metals brokerage. It taught me how markets actually move, how to build real client relationships, and how to think in years instead of weeks. Those lessons followed me straight into consulting and entrepreneurship.
Today, through LukeDuBose.com, I work with clients who want their daily habits to actually line up with their professional goals. My consulting is built around structure, accountability, and cutting out the noise. I’m not interested in helping someone build a system that burns them out in six months. I want to help people build momentum that lasts.
I also write essays and guides on lifestyle design, productivity, and resilience. A lot of it comes from thinking through my own travel, my own setbacks, and what it actually takes to rebuild after things fall apart.
A few things I’m proud of:
- Building a consulting practice around clarity, growth, and systems people can actually sustain
- Writing and publishing on performance, mindset, and personal transformation
- Creating LD Nomadic Travels, a project connecting travel, storytelling, and personal reset
LD Nomadic Travels
LD Nomadic Travels is my travel and storytelling project, built out of time spent in Costa Rica, London, Croatia, Mexico, and Ireland. Every one of those trips ended up being a reset point for me, somewhere between adventure and figuring out what I actually needed to think about.
Travel was never an escape for me. It’s perspective. Stepping into a new place has a way of stripping out the noise and reminding you who you are underneath it. Through LD Nomadic Travels I share itineraries, guides, and honest reflections for people who want to travel with purpose instead of just checking boxes.
Luke DuBose as an Endurance Athlete
I’m currently training for Ironman Sacramento 2026, a 140.6 mile triathlon covering swimming, cycling, and running. This is my first full distance Ironman, and honestly the training has become as much a mental practice as a physical one. Some days the hardest part isn’t the miles, it’s getting out the door.
My week is split across long rides, open water swims, running, and strength work. None of it happens all at once. It’s earned mile by mile, session by session, and I’ve stopped expecting it to feel easy.
Personal Philosophy
My whole approach to life comes down to honesty, self awareness, and showing up even when it’s uncomfortable. I believe discipline is freedom. Not in some rigid, joyless way, but as the actual path to peace. When you know what you’re doing and why, the noise gets a lot quieter.
Whether I’m consulting, training, or writing, I’m chasing the same thing: progress over perfection, clarity over chaos, and depth over distraction.
Media, Writing and Projects
I share my thinking through essays, blogs, and podcasts on resilience, transformation, and lifestyle design. You can find my writing on Medium and LinkedIn, and I’ve got a few things in the works:
- Growing LD Nomadic Travels into a full library of guides for people who travel with intention
- Longer form writing on clarity, structure, and rebuilding momentum after setbacks
- Documenting the full Ironman process, not just crossing the finish line
